English 2 Midterm

            The article “Kinda Cussin’” by Marlon Manuel explains how your kid might not be cussing but they are pretty close to the real word. This kind of cussing has a huge impact in today’s society even on me.

            When I was a little kid my parents would not let me say bad words but they would allow me to say those words that are pretty close to the real thing. LeBlanc states, “If I even back-talked my mother I’d get a bar of wet soap in my mouth” (Manuel). But now that I’m a little bit older they wouldn’t really care if I cussed as long as I don’t direct it to them or and a bad way towards others. It’s a bit crazy how back in the days when “I Love Lucy” was on they weren’t allowed to describe Lucy’s pregnancy by using the word pregnancy. Today’s shows are a bit different now when all of those reality shows say bitch in every episode.

            In today’s society if you were to “kinda cuss” in front of your friends’, u would probably get mad fun of. That’s how much of an impact it has on today’s society and the generations to come because now that you can’t kind of cuss in front of your friends you’re also going to cuss in front of your little brother or younger siblings. I’ll tell you what, my brothers cussing was a big impact on how I talk because I always thought it must be the right thing to say if my big bro said it.

            In my own opinion I don’t think little kids should even say any of those words that represent the real bad words because it would just make the next generation worst. Think about this, when you grow up and you have a family of your own would you like your kids to cuss up a storm in front of you? I don’t think you would like for your own kid to get kicked out of school because of his foul mouth. Maybe you should do something about it. When I have children of my own I will try my best to not curse in front of them and I would tell my friends that come over to not curse when my kids are around.

            Parents should put there foot down when it comes to kinda cussing because if they don’t then there will be no stop to it. All the future kids would be cursing at the age two and the parents would just laugh and say how cute it is. I’ll try to do my part and keep it censor around little ones.

Semi Pro

This past weekend i went with a couple of my friends to watch Semi Pro staring Will Ferrell. Will Ferrell is one of my favorite actor/comedian and in this movie i thought he was freaken hilarious. If u seen Anchor Man the i think you will like this movie.I give Semi Pro a 5 star rating and i think u guys should watch the movie. some might now like it but i guess i have a different humor than some people. But I thought it was funny. Thumbs up to it!

The Environment

What concerns me the most about the environment is the air pollution because everyday, every hour, and every second i breath in air and i don’t what to have my breathing problem get worst. I play football and breathing is the most important thing because i run a lot and it would be harder to breath if the air was all thick with pollution. I just want the air to be clean for all of us so no one would have breathing problems in the future. Trust me no being able to breath well sucks a lot. haha

New Years Resolutions

My 2008 new years resolution is to mainly get in shape for the up coming football season. I decided to make that my new years resolution because it would be much easier on my body to go into the season in top physical shape as possible. Also if I get stronger I would have a better chance to have a starting position.

Other resolutions:

– Some how get as much money as I can to fix my 2006 Ford Mustang up.

– Try to get good grades in all my classes

– I’m not going do eat fast food as much..haha

– try to hang out with my friends as much as possible because i hardly get to.

Essay: Powerful Gas Saver

You can still have your powerful mustang GT supercharged car or whatever car u desire but also think about what u can do to save a little money in your pocket and help the environment at the same time. If you want to keep your car you might want to think about getting a second car with better miles per gallon (MPG) or you can go with buying a hybrid. You’ll still have your beastly car but you’ll have another one to be your everyday driver that will save money for you and help the environment in a way.
